Butterfly Desk
Made from butterfly cut elm that creates the reflected grain pattern and a cherry wood apron, this desk is designed for electronics and cable flexibility. The walnut inserts slide back and forth to create adjustable cable holes. The desk is also made for simple assemblage and dis-assemblage, making it ideal for transportation.
Wood is alive. While we use some epoxy and polyurethane to stabilize wood, we avoid sealing the wood with with plastic or other synthetics because we like to let our wood breathe. We use almost exclusively oil-based finishes, which allow for the organic movement and aging of the wood over time.
