Ergonomic Desk
Because of the stacked trim and color band around the desk this was a pretty involved project. The color is a color stain, not paint, and protected by an oil finish. The design was inspired by a Art Deco architecture in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to the desk, includes a matching monitor stand (inspired by drive-ins from the 40’s) and a laptop base.
Wood is alive. While we use some epoxy and polyurethane to stabilize wood, we avoid sealing the wood with with plastic or other synthetics because we like to let our wood breathe. We use almost exclusively oil-based finishes, which allow for the organic movement and aging of the wood over time.
