Two Treetments Bench

This bench began as two raw planks of oak and black walnut. The oak received minimal treatment to keep it in live-edge slab form. The Black Walnut was given maximal treatment to create the dimensional geometric legs, arms and back rest.
Wood is alive. While we use some epoxy and polyurethane to stabilize wood, we avoid sealing the wood with with plastic or other synthetics because we like to let our wood breathe. We use almost exclusively oil-based finishes, which allow for the organic movement and aging of the wood over time.
